For those of you who know me well, my brother-in-law served in the Marine Corps and this ‘event’ hits home.
An act of gratitude such as this hosted by Gratitude Generation can have a profound effect on the mental health of those who have served our great Country.
If you would like to take part in brightening a Veterans Valentine’s Day, here’s how you can help:
- Order the brief list of items outlined in this Sign Up Genius, package everything in a reusable grocery bag, and drop it off at one of the 11 locations by Feb. 10, 2023.
- Swing by Deerfield on Feb. 12, 2023, from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm to help assemble and load all the donated Valentine’s meals into trucks. Let Generation Gratitude know you’re able to help by clicking here: Sign Up Genius.
- Can’t make it until 3 pm on Feb. 12? Meet Gratitude Generation and its volunteers at Midwest Veteran’s Closet in North Chicago to help unload the Valentine’s Day meals! Click here so they know you’re coming: Sign Up Genius.
At one point in their life’s journey, our Veterans left behind their loved ones to protect us and our loved ones - the most selfless act of sacrifice a person can give. Whether you're able to contribute and/or commit to any of the above - one small act of kindness can cause one large ripple effect of joy and happiness.
Questions? Reach out to those listed within each sign up genius for more information.
In good health,

About Gratitude Generation
The most adorable, sweet, kind 3-year-old inspired what we are today! Gratitude Generation was an idea sparked by loving, but spoiling grandparents, and a mom who wanted to do something powerful to show her girl how good it feels to give – and not only receive!
One viral Facebook post later (460 LIKES, 403 comments!) and a group of bright, powerful, creative, inspired, and grateful women have come together to create this soon-to-be nonprofit that will provide service and leadership opportunities for kids and adults, as well as a wonderful education track, including book clubs, curriculum to teach gratitude, opportunities to inspire gratitude, and so much more!
The Gratitude Generation Kids’ Boards will nurture young leaders, taking steps to instill a sense of service and gratitude in our next generations. There also are committees to support both service and educational events, providing opportunities for people to be involved. AND WE WANT YOU TO BE INVOLVED!
Whether you attend events, hop in and help us build this amazing organization, support us financially (donations accepted and welcomed, please!) or simply
LIKE our Facebook page and tell some friends about it, we’ll be grateful for your engagement, and we’ll be sure to inspire a moment of gratitude in you. Follow on

Vision: To instill gratitude into future generations through education and service.
Mission Statement: At Gratitude Generation, our mission is to create a platform where children receive an education about the social needs of the world at large down to our local community by providing an opportunity to serve and improve the lives of at-risk populations. We do this through collecting donations, fundraising, performing random acts of kindness, implementing educational seminars, and creating hands-on activities. These connections made through service provide education and social growth for this generation and the next.
